M. Lucille Mutchler

M. Lucille Mutchler, 86, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her home.

Born August 8, 1932, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Clyde C. and Sylvia Bierly Bastian.

Lucille was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. She was a music teacher and taught private piano and organ lessons in her home and at Robert M. Sides. Lucille was a professional church organist and choir director at many local churches. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists and the Williamsport Music Club. She was a member of the former Faith Alliance Church, Williamsport.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Floyd E. Mutchler; three sons, Steve Mutchler (Julie), of Montoursville, Jeff Mutchler (Sharon “Cookie”), of South Williamsport and Greg Mutchler (Carrie), of Fairfax Station, Va.; five grandchildren, Alysse Williams (Harry), of Jersey Shore, Corey Mutchler (Jessica), of Danville, Matthew Mutchler, of Montoursville, Danielle Mutchler, of Youngstown, Ohio and Taylor Mutchler, of Alexandria, Va.; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Floyd; a son, Tim Mutchler; and a granddaughter, Kristin Carly Mutchler.

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Greenview Alliance Church, 1955 Warrensville Road, Montoursville with Rev. Ron Raymer and Rev. John Otto officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church, with a luncheon to follow the service.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
