Jeffrey Lynn Booth

Jeffrey Lynn Booth, 65, of Turbotville, went to be with his Lord on June 30, 2019, after suffering a massive heart attack on June 10, 2019.

Born Dec. 16, 1953, in Danville, he was a son of Jean L. (Hiller) Booth and the late Arthur L. Booth, of Lairdsville.

In his youth, Jeff was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed many adventures at Camp Kline where he even participated as a leader within the Boy Scouts of America organization. He was an active baseball player in school and was the catcher for the Picture Rocks Rockets well into his adult years. He also enjoyed family fishing excursions to Canada and along with his family, aided in the building of the “Booth Homestead.” Jeff graduated from Hughesville High School, Class of 1971, and was an outstanding wrestler for many years. He attended Lock Haven University.

Jeff worked for many years at Interstate Amesite as a foreman before starting his own company, Booth Construction.

Some of Jeff’s favorite things to do include, riding his motorcycle with Kate to Schrader Creek, running and working on his equipment, building his shop and barn, and eating prime rib. He also loved relaxing with his dogs, making homemade ice cream and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jeff was a former member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Lairdsville and was currently a very active member of the Picture Rocks Baptist Church. He served as a member of the board of trustees, and fully enjoyed his Sunday school class with Pastor Jerry.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (Nolde) Booth; a daughter, Rebekah (Booth) and husband Matthew Gordner, of Hughesville; two brothers, Eric and wife Sarah Booth, of Hughesville, and Barry and wife Marilyn Booth, of Marble Hill, Mo.; and three precious grandchildren, Madelyn, Lillian and Evelyn Gordner.

Funeral services will be held noon Monday, July 8, at Picture Rocks Baptist Church, 50 Elm St., Picture Rocks, with Pastor Jerry Uppling officiating. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeff’s name to Picture Rocks Baptist Church, P.O. Box 408, Picture Rocks, PA 17762.
