Even Obama boosters learning health care changes will hurt them
It will be easy for President Barack Obama and liberals in the Senate to overcome a House of Representatives challenge to part of the national health care law. Obama has said he will veto the bill passed by the House if it reaches his desk.
It will not; liberals in the Senate will see to that.
But what of the tens of millions of Americans, including some of Obama’s most staunch supporters, who are learning “Obamacare” is not good for their financial health?
A bill passed in the House Wednesday would delay some provisions of Obamacare. The president himself already has said a requirement for employers to provide health insurance will be delayed a year. But he still would veto the House bill.
Meanwhile, there will be no delay for average Americans required to obtain government-approved insurance.
Many Obama supporters, including labor unions, have found objectionable provisions in the law, too.
Obama doesn’t care. The law is his baby and he is determined to push it – whether it is good for Americans of not.
