Narcotics Unit trying to make drug dealing uncomfortable
With 100 days under its belt, the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit has seized $32,000 in illegal drug proceeds and has made some significant arrests.
That’s a good start, according to District Attorney Eric Linhardt, for the unit that took over duties handed by the state Office of the Attorney General since 2007.
Linhardt said about half of the 50 investigations undertaken by the unit so far have been heroin-related.
The goal is to make drug dealing uncomfortable in Lycoming County.
No one would argue that is the case yet.
But there are indications progress is being made.
