Suicide: Know the signs and act with compassion
A healing discussion on suicide and how to prevent it was held recently after two local teenagers died of suicide. Holidays can be a dangerous time for those susceptible to suicide. It’s critical that all of us learn the suicide warning signs, pay attention to their possible presence and act in a compassionate way when we see them. If someone is struggling with suicidal thoughts, call the Lycoming County Crisis Intervention Hotline, 570-326-7895 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-8255.
