Rare opportunity for city residents officially available

We’ve nagged city residents about this previously. But now that the Williamsport Charter Commission has officially made publicly available its survey on what would be the best form of city government in the future, we will nag one more time.

The commission is giving people until March 30 to fill out the survey and then will tabulate the results as part of its commitment to reach a recommendation on the best form of government for Williamsport’s future.

The survey is available online at www.charter-commission.com. Just as importantly, for all those without access to a computer, copies of the survey will be available at the James V. Brown Library.

The results will play a big part in the commission’s recommendation that will be on the November ballot. As we’ve said previously, this is a rare opportunity for Williamsport residents to get actively involved in the future of their city. Don’t squander it.
