Correspondents’ dinner comedian’s comments on abortion, Sanders sick

Politicians, and that includes their appointed aides, are expected to have thick skins.

For that reason, jabs at presidential Press Secretary Sarah Sanders during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, despicable as they were, are, sadly, to be expected.

But featured “comedian” Michelle Wolf – who can’t match the class Sanders showed at the dinner – couldn’t leave it at that.

Apparently, she thought the following lines were hilarious:

“(Vice President Mike Pence) thinks abortion is murder. Which, first of all, don’t knock it ’til you try it, and when you do try it, really knock it. You know, you’ve got to get that baby out of there. And yeah, sure, you can groan all you want. I know a lot of you are very anti-abortion. You know, unless it’s the one you got for your secret mistress.”

Even a few correspondents’ association officials were critical of that “joke.”

What, pray tell, is funny about terminating the life of an unborn child?

How many in attendance at the dinner suddenly lost their appetites?

Some, let us hope.
