What not to vote for
From the White House website: What is the Sequester: Back in 2011 Congress passed a law saying that if both parties could not agree on a plan to reach that $4 trillion goal, about a trillion dollars of additional, arbitrary budget cuts would start to take effect this year? And by the way, the whole design of these arbitrary cuts was to make them so unattractive and unappealing that Democrats and Republicans would actually get together and find a good compromise of sensible cuts as well as closing tax loopholes and so forth. This was all designed to say we cannot do these bad cuts; let us do something smarter. That was the whole point of this so-called sequestration.”
Most of us have similar politician’s egos. Sometimes we choose not to hear what others are trying to say. Why should the politicians be any different? Because “We the People” put them in office to do what we often refuse to do for ourselves. How do we put a stop to the above?
For those who feel that they will go unheard, I say, the louder we yell, vote, protest, we show the citizens strength to those asleep in Congress. They will get the message: “Do not Mess with the United States Citizens.
As a Republican who wishes to cut back on most of the frivolous entitlements; unnecessary research; handing out needless money to those who refuse to work or are willing to pay back, charities that can receive donations from the citizens, not the government, I will never elect a Republican or Democrat who is driven by his/her own ego of, “I am right and you are wrong, period”.
