Remember warning

With this administration’s cover-up of the Benghazi, IRS, and AP scandals, plus their goal to ban firearms and large magazines, require licensing, back-ground checks, and universal registration of all firearms, and governors and mayors advocating mandatory buy-backs, registration, and confiscation of legally owned firearms after the Newtown School shooting by the deranged individual, politicians should remember George Washington’s warming: “A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own Government.”

The English government in 1774 banned the importation of firearms and ammunition to the Colonists and when gun control failed, they attempted to confiscate their weapons and ammunition at Concord igniting America’s Freedom War in 1775. England’s 1689 Declaration of Rights “permitted” arms for individual self-defense, suitable to their conditions, and “as allowed by law,” where-as our Second Amendment guarantees that the “right” of the people to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed.”

With Chicago-style leadership corrupting Washington, is it any wonder 44 percent of Republicans and 18 percent of Democrats say an armed revolution might be necessary to protect our liberty in the next few years?

Rasmussen’s survey found 50 percent view the Government as a threat to individual liberties rather than a protector of those rights, 65 percent recognized the Second Amendment as protection against tyranny, and 44 percent believed government would try to confiscate all privately owned firearms over the next generation.

Sam Adams reminder, “The said constitution be never construed to prevent the people of the United states who are peaceful citizens from keeping their own arms.” The Daily Caller’s poll agreed for 65 percent of households with guns said they would never give up their legally owned firearms.
