On April 25, I attended the Volunteer Luncheon for all of the folks who volunteer their time at senior centers everywhere. What a turn out.

The tables were packed and the dinner was wonderful. Every one had a good time.

I met people I didn’t know, but soon got to know them well. I seen people I haven’t seen in a long time.

The dinners were served by young chefs from Williamsport schools.

They were so cheerful and pleasant, so patient with us old seniors. Ha ha. All the managers put on a skit; it was so funny. Our manager Autumn was such a good host at Messiah Senior Center.

Michelle Koons gave the awards out and there was many. Her mother, Shirley Ranck, gave 43 years of her service until she passed away recently.

Everyone loved her.

If only more people would volunteer their time, it would be great. The need is always there. All of the managers were there at the luncheon. I got to see Jane, our used to be manager who now is at Lock Haven’s Center. She is such a sweet person. We have exercise, Zumba, Bible study, cards, so seniors come on over.

Have a Blessed Day!
