Incorrect word use

Thank you, Jane Casagrande, for your excellent article on Copular verbs and the sentence, “I feel bad” Sept. 22. Apparently only a few of us were listening in English/grammar class when it was discussed. I am so tired of hearing “I feel badly.” I always want to ask them when they will feel “goodly” and tell them how sorry I am that their fingers are numb. I really feel bad for those who use the word incorrectly.
