Shared risk

I am a really, really, really safe driver! It frustrates me when the state insists that I buy insurance when I know that I will never, never, never have an accident unless some idiot or deer gets in my way.

I am also the epitome of the healthy lifestyle except for that pesky nicotine habit. Therfore, I know that I only could drop dead of natural causes, heart attack, stroke, or one of the aforementioned idiot drivers. Yet, they still feel it is necessary for me to have health insurance! Why should I spend my precious, hard-earned dollars on health insurance when I know that my fellow citizens will pick up the tab when I arrive at my local hospital with a medical problem which is the result of my healthy lifestyle, except for the nicotine, or one of those idiot drivers!!
