Family and friends
We recently had a Christmas party at our house, and I asked my guests if they could bring a little something for our troops overseas.
Well, my family and friends went above and beyond the call of duty. We got everything from personal use, to stationary paper, pens, envelopes, hard candy, crackers, to soup and nuts. With the help of my sister-in-law, she suggested we send Christmas cards out to the troops, so we passed out Christmas cards to my guest and they wrote a little something in the cards, so we had cards, plus all the other stuff we collected for the troops.
I boxed everything all up and took it over to the V.F.W. in DuBoistown and they would send it out to the different branches of the services. And I thank them very much all in all, it was a huge success. Again and again, I thank my family and friends for all of their contributions. This was our special way of letting our special men and women know that they’re being thought of, not just for one day, but for each and every day.
Thanks again to all the men and women who are keeping us safe and may God bless you all and return to us soon.
