Holidays did come

April of 2013 appeared as if there were nothing any more to be thankful for and Fairlawn Food Bank certainly would not provide holyday giving to our clients.

Leaders at Fairlawn Church required, after 30 years of ministry, that the Food Bank move. It was devastating news, but GOD provided something truly Christmas like. Through the efforts of Marge Thompson and the gift of St. John U.M. Church we were invited into the family of Ministries at West End Christian Community Center (WECCC). We want to acknowledge and express deep gratitude to the following who have blessed us with allowing us to continue to serve our clients and in dedicating our new name, West End Food Bank, and our new home:

Our staff of volunteers, Central PA Food Bank, Hepburn-Lycoming Ministerium, Buchanan and Hepburn Baptist Churches, State Road, Maple Springs, and Trinity U.M. Churches, St. Michael Lutheran, Lycoming Creek Lions, Wegmans, Weis Markets, Mr. Sticky, Pepsi and Pastor Lou and Calvary Church of the Nazarene and those who gave out of the abundance of their gardens. Pastor John Aderhold, Director.
