Pleased with outcome

In response to the Dec. 11 modest budget pact reached by our bipartisan negotiators, I was very pleased to see the Democrats unemployment benefit extension efforts didn’t make the cut! Twenty-six weeks of unemployment benefits is more than a sufficient amount of time to find work, especially with the amount of programs out there to help one find work, most of which find the jobs for you.

On Dec. 28, payments were cut off to an estimated 1.3 million non-working individuals who have passed the 26 week cut off point.

Now our sagacious liberals will view this as a tragedy caused by conservative Republicans, when in fact the real tragedy of the matter is the ethics 1.3 million individuals in the United States lack!

Let’s not forget we are a Democracy, a nation “for the people” not a nation “for the people, by the government.”
