Which came first
Regarding Tim Mannello’s column Jan. 26, rich people and businesses don’t create jobs, consumer demand creates jobs?
So is this the “which came first”?
Consumers don’t borrow money to build factories, buy supplies for a new store, buy equipment for manufacturing.
Who takes the risk?
Consumers can make or break a business.
So first comes the idea, (a business) then the investment. Now we need jobs (people) to get it going.
At this point, consumer demand can help create more jobs.
So it is, necessity (consumer demand) creates nothing (jobs) without invention (business).
