An unholy experiment
The founder of Pennsylvania, William Penn, declared that this state would be a holy experiment, a place where people would strive to live up to the high standards of God. We are now on the verge of entering into an unholy experiment. As the court prepares to decide the lawsuit against the Defense of Marriage Act, there is a strong possibility that we will enter an experiment to see if God will allow his finite creations to redefine what He established as marriage.
The new pretend marriages where one person pretends to be the husband and the other pretends to be the wife is a direct challenge to the authority of God in our state and nation. Judge Jones who will be hearing the case has already demonstrated a lack of fear of God in his decision-making. He was the judge who declared it unconstitutional to even mention God as our Creator in the science classrooms of the public schools in this state.
Since the highest principle of America’s greatness is found in the statement that, “All men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator within certain inalienable rights,” this decision undermines the reason for our existence.
When a group of people decides to stand against the purposed of God, the outcome is obvious. Jesus declared that his Second Coming will happen when people are living the way they were in the days of Noah and the days of Lot and Sodom (Luke 17). This is not an experiment that any sane society should attempt.
