My letter concerns an article about the Kenyan Judah Care Center on the front page of the May 3 Religion section.

I am curious why this article was in our paper.

I saw no connections with anything or anyone in our area no church or organization that supports them, no persons who have visited or served there.

I understand that there are many needy children in Nairobi and that some in the Sun-Gazette reading area may be inclined to send the Judah Care Center some aid, but why this group and not one of the many other needy groups around the world?

Furthermore, I have checked their website and found it poorly done. Maybe the Judah Care Center does not have the money and expertise to set up a good website, but at the least they could give greater financial transparency to assure donors that monetary gifts are used appropriately.
