Shooting yourself in foot

Social Security provides income to disabled and retired workers and their families and to the needy. Medicare pays hospital and medical bills for senior citizens and Medicaid pays for hospital and medical bills and nursing care for low income persons. CHIP pays for the healthcare of children, and the Affordable Care Act assists workers in paying for their health insurance coverage.

What do all of these federal programs have in common?

They became law when there was a Democratic president in the White House; and the Republicans, in general, would dearly love to either eliminate or privatize (profitize) these beneficial social programs that protect millions of Americans.

If you are a middle class or law income American, voting for Lou Barletta, Tom Marino, Pat Toomey or Donald Trump would be just like shooting yourself in the foot.
