A weakness for pork
I remember the last airport expansion. Flights were cut from five to three and check in counter from one to three – with two never used. Now a pure pork project, except Williamsport never gets pork called that in the newspaper. We could fly to eight cities direct but now only one. We also had jet air service for a short time, and last winter the three flights were cut to two. In 1959 when I came here, it cost $15, Williamsport to Newark. I believe now it is more than ten times to Philadelphia if they won’t cancel the flight. Your newspaper has a disease called airplane itus. Also called pork.
