Supporting Gorsuch
I think Neil Gorsuch should be confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice for two reasons. First, he is mature, reasonable, and well respected by his peers. Second, I believe that he will end up being somewhat less of a “strict constructionist” than Antonin Scalia.
As such, I don’t think the Gorsuch nomination is the place to make a do or die stand against conservative justices. I have no doubt that other candidates will be put forward in the coming years that will require such an effort.
