U.S. health care bill
Once again I must take issue with a Sun-Gazette editorial in your Monday edition. The editorial stated the U.S. House of Representative’s bill on health care is an imperfect and unfinished bill. If so, why was it brought up to the floor for a vote? As House Republicans along with Trump gloated over the victory in front of the White House millions of low income and Medicaid dependent people are worried about their future health care needs.
I’m sure the Republican senators will formulate a better bill than that passed by the U.S. House. Unfortunately, it is doomed to ultimated failure because it will not have universal coverage.
Most Republicans are against universal coverage, either because they lack knowledge of such coverage or they would never approve of such a socialistic plan. These same Republicans would never vote to eliminate Social Security or Medicare which are both government socialistic programs.
It was astounding recently to hear President Trump state that Australia’s universal health care system is better than the U.S. health care system.
