Label statues truthfully

People who say “you can’t erase history” have got it right. The Civil War happened, but the statues of the Confederate leaders and generals didn’t go up until long after the war was over. Most were put up to support “Jim Crow” laws and oppose the civil rights movement. That doesn’t mean that we need to tear them down as long as they are truthfully labeled. “Robert E. Lee: Traitor, oath breaker, loser. Led the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia in a failed attempt to destroy the United States and defend his right to own other people.”
