Military weaponry in Vegas

In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled that the right to bear arms was an individual right. In that ruling the Court focused on an individual’s right to bear weapons for self-defense, especially in the home. The Court cast doubt on the idea that the Second Amendment covers arms that are designed and intended for military use.

With this in mind, I think the type of weapons used by the shooter in Las Vegas were more like those intended for military use than for self-defense. So, I think a good case could be made that it is constitutional to prohibit citizens from owning these weapons.
