Taxing elderly

In the last 4 years of 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, I personally received raises which totaled $31.00 a month in social security for those years.

That averaged a $7.80 increase a year. The reason given to us was that the cost of living didn’t go up.

Those who are overpayed and running things in this country are about as swift as the Okefenokee Swamps in Florida.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in our state will receive a raise of $1,600 for the year of 2018 alone.

If this is the best that the government can do for the elderly of this country, then they should keep it for the wealthy in our country.

My raises don’t even cover the 49 cent stamps that I use during a years time. The price of them is going up soon also.

How many politicians in Harrisburg and in Washington, D.C. are war veterans?

Did they all serve 4 years in the military and receive only $5,000 for those four years, like myself and millions of others have done and never complained about it?

This does not prove that silence is golden. We seniors have kept our mouths shut for too many years, while most elected politicians feather their nests for themselves and for those in the future.
