Tax reform that makes sense

The most powerful man in Lycoming County is usually the district attorney – right now the most powerful person in Lycoming County is state Sen. Gene Yaw . We have to watch his actions closely, his vote is coming up very soon to totally eliminate school property taxes. It is very important. Yaw is paid by the school unions. Let’s put him in the spotlight Shine your light on him Williamsport. Make him do the right thing. And vote for the taxpayers. State Rep. Jeff Wheeland will follow.

It is equitably fair and reasonable for everybody to fund public schools when they purchase and or earn, not just property owners. The current school property tax system is the most destructive

• School property taxes crush the dream of property ownership.

SB76 will restore the American Dream of true property ownership in Pennsylvania.

• School property taxes are proven to be unstable.

The legislation is diversified – that’s good for a revenue averaging tax revenue stream.

• School property taxes require an expensive/antiquated collection system

The new legislation mandates that everybody fairly and reasonably fund public schools when they purchase something and/or earn income, not just property owners. The legislation is in alignment with the essence of our U.S. Constitution.

Fairness and equity. That’s what we need.
