Ungrateful

Rollanda Dee Frazier, in the letter “It won’t hurt”, bemoans that it has been suggested that the government issue basic food items and reduce the amount of food stamps given the recipients.

In her letter, she said that it would cut her food stamp benefits by 50 percent. She also says that she should not be forced to accept handouts.

In true entitlement fashion, she’s ungrateful for any assistance that she gets. Apparently, she doesn’t realize that all food stamps are a government handout. The attitude that she is owed something is why so many of us taxpayers don’t like the welfare system.

But Ms. Frazier is correct in part of her statement. She isn’t being forced to accept those handouts. Do us all a favor and refuse the benefits if they aren’t to your liking.
