For a difference

Surveys show that 80 percent of Americans are united in dissatisfaction with Congress. Regardless of age, gender, or party, Americans agree that Congress isn’t listening.

Locally, our community is facing challenges and Congress, including Representative Tom Marino, hasn’t done much to help. Health care costs are on the rise and we all know people whose pre-existing conditions may keep them from obtaining insurance. As a senior in high school, I am staring down hundreds of thousands of dollars in education costs.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Marc Friedenberg is running to represent the people of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District because he has solutions. No one should worry about how to pay for health care, which is why Marc supports Medicare for All. Higher education, from a college or a technical institute, should not be selectively available, because we all benefit when Americans are educated. This is why Marc supports affordable education for everyone.

Not only do these solutions follow Marc’s convictions, they make economic sense, too. When people aren’t saddled with debt from health care or from education, they can buy cars and homes, get married and raise families, and otherwise invest in the American economy and society.

Marc Friedenberg is running for Congress because he wants to fight for the 12th District and the people who live here. On Nov. 6, vote for Friedenberg because he has solutions and because he cares.
