An objective view of McCain

To get an objective view of John McCain’s political career, everyone should watch the recent “Frontline” presentation on him. His failures and missteps stood out more than any of his victories, the “Keating 5” and two unsuccessful runs at the presidency among them.

He was one of the “good ole boys” in the Senate taking up a seat for way too long. The Senate has become a rich man’s club, all sparkle and no substance and far removed from interests of common American citizens.

I will always respect John McCain for his bravery in helping to preserve our freedoms and our right to speak our minds. But on the political side, he was Arizona’s version of Arlen Spector.
