Blood bank partner
UPMC Susquehanna continues to provide life-saving care to residents of our community and we formed an important partnership with the Community Blood Bank. This partnership has been a critical resource in strengthening blood supplies in our communities.
Founded in 1961, Community Blood Bank is a not-for-profit organization with more than 50 years’ experience in the blood banking industry. They are licensed by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), and a member of America’s Blood Centers and Blood Centers of America.
Last year, UPMC Susquehanna selected Community Blood Bank to be the primary supplier of blood products to UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport, Divine Providence, and Muncy hospitals.
Since then, we’ve experienced first-hand their commitment to quality, safety, reliability, and customer service.
They truly believe in the mission of connecting blood donors to patients in the communities they serve. Blood donations stay local. Community Blood Bank recognizes donors who achieve “gallon” milestones and honors previous blood donations. Donors can also earn points toward items in their point store, view personal donation data through their online donor portal, and enter for raffles throughout the year.
I encourage you to donate blood with Community Blood Bank. Moreover, I am asking that local organizations please support our partnership by holding blood drives with Community Blood Bank.
Donations to the Community Blood Bank will directly benefit UPMC Susquehanna hospitals, and your family, friends and neighbors right here at home.
To schedule a drive or learn more about the Community Blood Bank, please reach out to Lora Cope, Mobile Blood Drive Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 570-789-4026.
Please help us better serve your friends, neighbors, and loved ones by scheduling your Community Blood Bank visit soon! Thank you for your support of the local blood supply.
