Time for change

It was a great disappointment to me when I saw that our Senator Robert Casey joined with other senators in voting “No” when it came to confirming Brett Kavanaugh as an associate justice on the Supreme Court.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein and those senators who joined in with her turned the judicial confirmation hearings into a national disgrace when it came to the treatment of the nominee and his family. We never saw that kind of deplorable treatment given to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor or Elena Kagen during their judicial hearings.

When Sen. Casey voted against confirming Kavanaugh, I saw it as an endorsement of the disgraceful conduct of Sen. Feinstein and her cohorts. Sen. Casey was not sent to Washington by Pennsylvania voters to be a lapdog for Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer of New York and his ambitions.

Sen. Casey is up for re-election. As one senior citizen put it to me, “he’s been in there long enough. Time to vote him out.”

He says in campaign ads that he gets along with both Democrats and Republicans. I’m not seeing that. I’m seeing him as a quiet supporter of radical leftists, violent Antifa protesters and deep state operators. It’s time for change.
