Abortion tremors

While there are some who would debate the toleration of abortion for certain exceptions, the real end-game for those who support “abortion rights” has become plainly evident in recent actions by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the New York state legislature.

Though it is often the practice of politicians to characterize their legislation with lofty-sounding titles which usually run completely contrary to their actual purpose or result, there is no more convincing example than New York’s recent Reproductive Rights Act!

The bill permits abortion after the 24th week of gestation, the previous maximum date for legalized termination of pregnancy. This will result in the death of tens of thousands of babies who would be viable even if born prematurely at that point. It permits abortion even up to the time of birth, and removes any penalty if a baby is killed after surviving a botched abortion. Even worse, it legalizes the performance of abortion by other than licensed doctors.

New York’s actions open the door for even more horrific suffering and atrocities than that perpetrated by abortionist Dr. Gosnell for decades in Philadelphia, and, indeed, would make his heinous crimes legal.

Since the Supreme Court’s defiance of all previous legal precedent in its approval of abortion upon demand in the infamous 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, a case which, in retrospect, was founded upon deception, more than 61 million babies have been aborted in the U.S. Planned Parenthood, by far the largest provider and lobbyist for legalized abortion, now insists upon entitlement to the more than $500 million in taxpayer funding which they receive annually to carry out their “services.”

Pro-life advocates have long sought alternatives to the slaughter of innocent babies as a matter of convenience.

The pride and glee with which Gov. Cuomo and supporters of the virtually unlimited abortion bill celebrated their actions was indeed astounding.

It would seem that this is but another example of wicked politicians and people being given over to their reprobate minds, as foretold by the apostle Paul (Romans 1:28).

May God have mercy upon a state and a nation that allows such blatant legalization of murder.
