Who can really help us?

The primary election is less than a week away, and here we are, still wondering who would make the best candidate to lead our nation. Traditionally, a Democrat president means higher taxes, but a Republican candidate could pro-long the Iraq War. Right now, the economy is the top issue to Americans, displacing the war for the first time in nearly 5 years. Obama is young and he has the vote of the young, including my own two sons. Clinton comes with the name - and the baggage, including the husband; and John McCain seems a bit too old to be taking on such a high pressure and high stakes job. Politics is politics and they all make promises that they are never truly able to deliver, so I don't see a super candidate standing out amongst the three that I can truly get behind. I am a conservative Christian, with a conservative political viewpoint, and though I can't trust the promises of man (or woman), I know I can trust God. I will be praying ever more diligently for guidance as the general election approaches, that our nation also will trust God and make the right choice for president of our great nation. With terrorism a continuing threat, and now fuel and food costs spiraling out of control, these are truly perilous times for all of us, We need now more than ever, to place our faith in our Creator.

Besides the issues you raise, there is an issue that jeopardizes the primary election system itself. Operation Chaos is the unethical recruiting of non democrats to invade the democratic primary. Regardless of who wins the primary. It should always be a fair, honest election. ****springfieldmedia****

If someone brings faith in God to your life, as the Reverend Jeremiah Wright did for Barack Obama, do you deny that person as Judas did Jesus or do you stand by the positive benefits that person has had on your life and reject the other despicable acts they may have committed?

When political and military judgment mattered most to U.S. military personnel and the American people, John McCain and Hillary Clinton failed as U.S. Senators to demonstrate any commander-in-chief qualities when without competent questioning, they both accepted the faulty intelligence used to justify the Iraq war and misjudged the Bush administration's competencies to lead the war.

For too long fear, division and rancor have been used as instruments to maintain power and position in Washington.

Voters in Pennsylvania now have an opportunity to change the direction of America's policies, economy and foreign relations for the better by voting for Barack Obama and rejecting the fear mongers.
