So You Think You Can Dance, Part 2Let the record state that I am making the prediction now, early on in the season after only the first episode in which the audience could vote: The winner of the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance will be Twitch. He's got the fanbase already, seeing as how he made it to Vegas the year before, but lost to Hawk when advancing to the Top 20. Plus, he proved last night that he's got the versatility to do other styles of dance other than hip hop -- and do them well. The judges praised him for his Broadway number, and seemed very surprised that he pulled it off as well as he did. If he keeps this up with the other styles, there's no doubt that he's going to make it far in the competition, and already is my pick to win it all. He's already proven himself to be one of the best "pop and lock" dancers in the competition, so if he's able to conquer the other styles, there will be no stopping him. But they all seem to be very good this season, and I've been very impressed with most of the talent I've seen so far. Contemporary dancers impressed with with their hip hop moves; hip hop dancers with their ballroom style; and even a salsa dancer who was very elegant and graceful in a ballroom number. I think it's going to be a tight season, although I haven't watched any prior seasons to compare it with. Either way, So You Think You Can Dance Season 4 is off to a good start, and I'm surprisingly entertained, considering I'm not even a fan of dance. I like watching all the different styles, and I'm actually more impressed with the elegance and discipline the ballroom style takes. The hip hop is fun to watch, don't get me wrong, but contemporary and ballroom really leaves me in awe.
