So You Think You Can Dance, Part 4

The judges seemed to have found themselves a new favorite couple last night on So You Think You Can Dance -- at least for the time being -- when Joshua and Katee did a Samba. Nigel said that Joshua had all the natural movements for a salsa dancer, and it seems they were the favorite of the night.

Twitch and Kherington went first this week, and once again received extremely positive remarks from all three judges. The duo picked the hip hop genre this week, which is Twitch's expertise. I loved the choreography, which had Twitch and Kherington as prison escapees who were the "most wanted." Kherington certainly held up her end of the dance very well, and the judges commended her for pulling off the moves and even putting the necessary attitude into the performance. In my opinion, they're still the couple to beat, and seem to have the diversity to win the competition.

Chris and Comfort are in some trouble. I actually thought their jazz number with an African theme was original and fun to watch, but the judges didn't seem to agree. I thought they were very animated and into the music, and hit the moves as they were told to. But, I have a pretty good feeling that they'll be in the bottom three couples tonight, and probably will be the ones to go.

I also think Chelsea and Thayne are in some trouble. Their quick step wasn't as quick as it should have been, and the judges picked up on that. I think they've been just hanging on the last two weeks, and also will be in the bottom three tonight. I think they'll be safe for this week, but unless they step up their game, will be the couple to go next week. Honestly, I think Chelsea got gypped with her partner -- Thayne doesn't impress me at all.

Chelsie and Mark did a really cool and different hip hop routine to the son "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis. It really showed that the hip hop dance style doesn't always have to be choreographed to hip hop music, and the genre itself is really diverse. Although the "pops" and "locks" of hip hop dance are fun to watch, it's cool to see that there is a different side to the genre. And Chelsie put a lot of energy and emotion into the dance, which made it very entertaining to watch.

Jessica and Will's disco was OK -- but come on, it was disco! Although the moves were all pulled off, I still found it cheesey. I'm not a fan of Will, and I hope he's not receiving all these good remarks just because he's a protege of one of the former judges of the show. I'm sure he has the real talent, but nothing about him screams that he should win the competition.
