Empty Nest/Full House

Time for an updateOkay, just a bunch of random notes today. First, I would like to thank all of the slots machine players for the tiny break on the school property tax bill that came over the weekend. I live in the Williamsport Area School District and appreciate what amounts to a savings on my mortgage bill of about $25 a month, after factoring in this year's tax hike. Second, I would like an affordable solution to the heating oil dilemma. My new monthly budget plan payment for next year, which also came in the mail over the weekend, went up about $50, and that following a frigid winter augmented by electric space heater. Gamblers, I need you to lose twice as much just to break even. Third, I wonder why government budgets continue to grow at rates that outpace inflation and the average person or family in America. This is indicative of leaders who are out of touch. Those little bones they throw in the form of slots relief or a rare economic stimulus check are appreciated, particularly in hard times, but what might be more appreciated would be better control over the reins of the fiscal horses that drive lawmakers as they rub sholders with the rich and influential lobbyists. What more need I say?
