So You Think You Can Dance, Part 5

It was time for the final 10 of "So You Think You Can Dance" to split up last night and have their chance with different partners. Some couples stepped up to the challenge and looked as though they had been dancing together the whole season, others showed their discomfort and lack of trust for their new partners.

My favorite contestant and pick as the Season 4 winner, Twitch, has been up and down with the judges for the past couple weeks. He even found himself in the bottom three couples last week. His new partner was Comfort this week, who was returned to the show after Jessica was sidelined because of several rib injuries. The judges turned up their noses at Twitch and Comfort's first ballroom dance, which they said lacked any sort of training and grace that the genre entails. The two were lucky enough to pull hip hop for their second dance, and wowed the judges and redeemed themselves. Comfort may have saved herself from elimination with her second dance --  but it'll only be by a hair.

Will and Katee teamed up and did a fun Broadway routine for their first dance -- which was certainly unique and showed a different side of Will. I understand that Will has excellent technique and the judges always rave about him, but I've never been a big fan of him. However, he's slowly gaining my attention and he's definitely going to have a top spot in the competition. He's going to be the one to beat in the final two.

Kherington and Mark attempted a two-step country line dance, and failed miserably. Neither knew the steps very well, and it looked extremely chunky and choreographed. First off, I don't think it's even the right type of dance for a show like this, and second, none of the dancers have any type of experience with country line dancing. I hope it's the last time they decide to use that genre on the show. Mark may be in a lot of trouble tonight, and probably will be the next guy to go.
