May 14, 2011 - Chris Masse
South fifth: Carpenter singles to center field. Tyler Fries runs for Carpenter. Gantz walks. Orgitano hit by pitch. Sadiq Burkholder replaces Fagnano. Nate Kerstetter runs for Orgitano. Eck strikes out. Fries scores on Missigman's fielder's choice to shorstop. Gantz to third. Gantz thrown out at home trying to steal home. Williamsport fifth: VanDeLinde grounds out to third. Fagnano homers to left field. McCormick walks. Fuller runs for McCormick. Schneider flies out to center field. Fuller to second on Levering's single.

South 000 01--1 5 0 Williamsport 200 01--3 5 1 Tyler House, Alex Carpenter (1) ande Kyle Eck. Jared Fagnano, Sadiq Burkholder (5) and Josh McCormick.

Notes: Here's thinking Orgitano will be icing down tonight after being hit by two pitches in three at-bats thus far. What a spot for Burkholder to enter. The sophomore right-hander enters with the bases loaded and no outs. Talk about a gut-check. Fagnano struck out five in his four innings. Fagnano missed turning an inning-ending double play by about an inch. Burkholder ended top of the fifth by throwing out Gantz at home on an attempted delayed-steal home with runners on first and third. With the count 0-2 and two outs it was a good call to take that chance. Nice job by Burkholder getting out of a tight jam with little damage done. Fagnano gets that run back when he crushes a full-count, one-out home run to left field. Fagnano has to be the area's lead-off hitter in home runs this season.
