Montoursville-Loyalsock 3rd inning update

May 14, 2011 - Chris Masse
Montoursville Third: Ranck walked. Clark singles to left field, Ranck to second. Ranck scores, Clark to second on Albert's single to left field. Moran runs for Albert. Both runners advance on Young's groundout to second. Clark scores, Moran to third on Travis Singer's groundout to shortstop. Hook walks. Moran scores, Hook to second on a wild pitch. Hook to third on a passed ball. Mondell walks. Null strikes out. Loyalsock Third: Moff hit by pitch. Surovec strikes out and Moff thrown out trying to steal by Albert. Lomison walks. Clark strikes out.

Montoursville 103--4 4 3 Loyalsock 300--3 0 0 Christian Clark and Tyler Albert. Zack Clark and Spencer Underdown.

Notes: Montoursville is wearing black jerseys with pink lettering in support of Lori Twigg, wife of coach Corey Twigg. Lori is bravely battling breast cancer and has been a source of inspiration for the Warriors throughout the year. Corey Twigg's game-worn jersey will be auctioned off at ESPN 1050's Night of Champions on Sunday night, May 22 with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Tyler Albert is having quite the week. After driving in the game-winning run in a HAC-I title-clinching win at Jersey Shore, Albert has opened his Brawl day by going 2 for 2 with two RBI. A clutch hitter throughout his career, the four-year starter has been a part of two district champions in homered in the 2009 Brawl. Look for J.P. Pawlikowski to take the mound for Loyalsock in the fourth inning. He was warming up in the top of the fourth and with coach Jeremy Eck saying he wouldn't use any pitcher more than three innings, it looks like Pawlikowski will be his guy in the fourth. Albert continues having a good day, throwing out Stephon Moff trying to steal second in the bottom half.
