Police track alleged speeder from school
SALLADASBURG – State police pursued Kris Andrew Worden, 27, of 341 Whyne Road, Jersey Shore, as he allegedly drove a speeding truck past the Salladasburg Elementary School on Aug. 3. Once on Route 287, the chase reportedly reached speeds of 90 mph before police terminated the pursuit on a dirt road near Worden’s home. The investigation, which involved Worden allegedly failing to halt for a stop sign and unlawfully passing other vehicles, recently concluded. Arraigned Thursday by District Judge Allen P. Page III, Worden is charged with fleeing police, recklessly endangering another person and 10 traffic summaries. In lieu of $10,000 bail, Worden is incarcerated at the Lycoming County Prison awaiting a Sept. 17 hearing before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley.
