Fantastic mayorJanuary 1, 2013We have a fantastic mayor. God bless him! He has done a great job for us this far, and I applaud him for trying to hold down taxes for us homeowners.... Showing 5 of 5 comments

OF COURSE the Council isn't concerned, they don't need to be, because the hikes don't affect them enough. They probably all live up on Grampian Blvd, $100 is pocket change to them. That's what you get when you elect the people you do. Same with the school board and all that. Works the same way (albeit it not a 'government body'). Do your research when you vote, don't vote based on popularity or one sole issue. There is plenty of 'blind voting' that occurs and that is truly the issue imo. As for the Mayor, we can agree to disagree that he is 'fantastic'. He hasn't been all bad, but he hasn't been all that great either.

To Be Sure....I wasn't necessarily referring to the Mayor...but more specifically to those serving and elected on a State level....H of R and the Senate...both State and Federal.

Didn't anyone EVER notice that...the ones passing the 'lets spend more' edicts...NEVER worry about it....they ALREADY have enough $$$$$$$....The only fools are the ones electing them! Elections HAVE consequences.....look for better people to elect into office...especially in the local and state levels.

Marlene, why would counsil be concerned? Mayor Campana sat on the same board for how long? He will be collecting his rightful pay as well, 'Don't Worry be Happy'....
