Good job connecting abortion to gun control.

Rick, true. But perhaps if he acted like the president instead of an emperor......

z3932z, it's all connected. It shows how we think in the US. 1.5 million abortions each year in the US and most on the gun control side vehemently support to right to get an abortion, but 20 children killed with a gun and we want more gun control. I mourn the loss of the 20 children and 6 adults a few weeks ago, but I also mourn the loss of 1.5 million children taken through abortion.

Here's an interesting fact, in 2011, 323 murders were committed using a rifle. 496 were committed using a hammer. Why aren't you gun control people down at Lowe's protesting for the sale and regulation of hammers?

...Much like those "moralists" who are NOWHERE-to-be-found, once a child has been carried-to-term...into a life o' poverty...because it's mother should be required to pay SOME kind o' penalty, for her "improper behavior".

...And, you'd (previously) offered to adopt HOW many of that 1.5 million??????

"and continues to support the killing of thousands of unborn babies"

There is no such thing as an "unborn baby".

Here's an interesting fact. Hammers are necessary to the functioning of society. Hammers are designed to CREATE, military style assault riffles and high capacity magazines are designed to DESTROY.

One serves a VITAL role in our society, one does not.

If someone isn't clever enough to grasp that, perhaps they shouldn't be allowed to possess one of these items, and I don't mean the hammer.

"Here's an interesting fact, in 2011, 323 murders were committed using a rifle. 496 were committed using a hammer..."

A disingenuous comparison.

1) You use the word "rifle" instead of "firearm" to skew the stats to benefit your point. Why not use the actual stat that there were 8,583 murders by firearms in 2011? And besides murder, why not also include that there are over 50,000 deliberate non-fatal gunshot injuries per year?

2) The main purpose for the existence of a hammer is not to kill something or someone. Hammers are a vital tool for thousands of more reasons than assault type rifles are. The benefits of the hammer are far more numerous than the benefits of an assault type rifle.

3) How many more millions (maybe billions) of hammers are there in the USA than there are assault-type rifles? The word "ratio" matters for a reason. The number of murders per hammers owned versus the number of murders per rifles owned should be part of

For Mr. Pidcoe to refer to President Obama in such a disrespectful manner also diminishes whatever other points Mr. Pidcoe tries to make. I can take nothing he says as relevant or serious.

Incorrect stats. Same as saying 23 people choked to death on popcorn last year but 407 actual deaths from choking (food related). The "Emperor' and so forth is juvenile. Abortion is a separate argument. Legalized abortion has occurred under every president since the 1960's. I believe you had a few of yours in the mix.

I wonder if the principal could have stopped the mass killings in Sandy Hook if the killer had a hammer. Maybe she would be alive today to tell us.

So, lefties - how exactly do you assure us that a criminal will not have a gun? Please explain. You are the same people that say it is impossible to find the 12 or 15 million illegal immigrants currently here and you still think you can round up the guns you want to ban? How do you do that? Stop using slogans and explain your plans with specific details so we know just how you will accomplish your goals.

Abortion, religion, morals, violent video games, too many guns, etc. might all play some role in the murder of innocents.

Or they might not, because 99.99+% of the other people who live under the same conditions didn't shoot anyone.

The blame for the evil in Newtown rests solely on the shooter and his demons.

Is this an example of a fact filled response that people like me are suppose to give?

I have a response to this but I'll pass.

"So, lefties". You do realize there are many on the right that feel we should have some kind of gun control. The only ones that don't are the hard core NRA followers, the second admendment experts and the people that feel their rights are being violated (those same people that have no problem when someone else's rights are violated or big business violates them) oh I forgot the people that feel Obama will personally walk into their house and take their cherished guns.
