I am self employed. u are missing the point. Ben Franklin had a great idea, "EVERYONE" chips in a nickel for the fire hose!! Now if u are elderly, tenant(rental rebate), a homeowner, clean and green, Lerta, equal opportunity zone, non profit , church ,or organization guess what u don"t have to chip in a nickel for the hose, Leaving a small% of us paying for not only the hose. 40% maybe of Williamsport is paying property taxes. I am looking for a system where everyone pays maybe a % of sales tax, u are taxed by your impact on the community. This way seniors who buy less would pay less,

The problem is not that union workers have negotiated too high a salary, it is that YOU have agreed to work for too little.

Demand fair compensation from your employer.

We need true property tax reform relief for mom and pop landlords whose business (if it were making whirley gigs) would not be unfairly taxed. Non profits, Lerta , equel opportunity zones , home owners, clean and green, the elderly pay reduced or no property taxes. Why do we have to pay?? This is an archaic system. Ben Franklin said EVERYONE CHIPS IN A NICKEL FOR THE FIRE HOSE!! How far have we strayed from that good idea????
