Do you think it's fair to say that this country houses the most gun owners in a single country? I would say that's pretty accurate or at least not far from being true. Good luck with that invasion when the gloves really come off.

Nascar viewers, as a demographic, tend to favor one political party over the other. Maybe they will rise up in outrage over the their special tax breaks, seeing how the country is broke and all.

I seem to remember a time long ago when Republicans knew the difference between election time rhetoric, and reality, and were actually capable of letting go of electoral rhetoric after an election.

Any invading force that can do that will most likely view the armed citizenry as a nuisance, not a significant threat.

If we lose a war it’ll be an economic war, and we’re not doing well in that regard right now. We’re on our way toward ownership by our debtors.

"If we lose a war it’ll be an economic war" No it will be a technology war. Or a war of natural resources. We just give ours away so we will lose.

How does the largest tax cut in history bring in $1.2 trillion to the treasury? You have to be a special kind of stupid to believe that.

I heard this young guy the other day downtown bragging that he was retired. I was thinking kinda young maybe he won the lottery or got in the city or state police at the age 21 or in his 20s,then I heard him go on to say that he got his S.S.D.I. and his Access card and a Obama phone he was very happy he told his buddy that he had a personality disorder?

Enigma, perhaps it was due to the tax increase on the 400k+ incomes. That's a signficant tax/revenue. Easily making up for what would be lost by the 'poor' I'm sure, though I haven't actually done that math to know that as factual.

Btw Enigma, that wasn't me disagreeing with you, just offering up a theory.
To Jeff33..yea a personality disorder sounds about right. All you have to do now a days is get a psychatrist to say 'this one is a little bit off' and you can collect for life. The tax payers are the ones that suffer for the pathetic and lazy.

There are many costs government places upon its citizens besides taxes. The cost of living and the weak economy are costing the low and middle classes far more than any taxes they have to pay. The higher income folks have many ways to cut their liabilities due to the crony Capitalism our government engages in with them.

"he got his S.S.D.I. and his Access card and a Obama phone" Talk about sheep. Someone lies about Obama giving out cell phones and you believe it without question.
There is a program called Lifeline. It is a program to subsidize phone service for low income people.
Guess what? It was created under President Reagan in 1985 and then expanded under President George W. Bush in 2008. So give credit where credit is due; to the Republicans that created and increased the program.

Thanks for setting the record straight Johnny. Certainly contradicts the liberal vote-acquiring rhetoric that Republicans care only about the wealthy.

There you go Cheyanne. Maybe they should start touting that record. Let people know what Republicans are doing for the poor and low-income people and what they should get credit for.
