"You all must not have been watching TV on Sunday evening---Quote of the year---"If Jesus had a gun, He would still be alive!""
+++
You know that you can't believe everything on TV.
Jesus is alive; he arose from the dead on the third day. The tomb was empty.
That is the assurance that lets you know that you too can have eternal life in Paradise with him. Just believe that he has paid for your sin debt and receive the gift. A meaningful, heart-felt, action-displayed "thank you dear Lord and Savior Jesus" would do.
I think far worse than carrying a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other is taking that Bible to church on Sunday and spending the rest of the week breaking a commandment or ten...
@David Bross, I have read where this event never took place as according to FBI Investigators. On another note, had the young lady denounced her faith do we really think they would have let her live? I think personally that this was simply the toying of two psychopaths, ultimately wanting her to denounce her faith before taking her life as some sort of twisted act.
"How moral are you with a Bible in one hand and holding a gun in the other?"
This is the same idiotic phrase Chuckles has been posting over & over in the comments section. He sounds like a parrot or worse, a Chrissy Matthews wannabe.
Chuck,"How moral are you with a Bible in one hand and holding a gun in the other?"
Well Chuck, let's take a look at that. With my gun I would protect the innocent. You want to take guns away from the innocent, making them easy prey for the criminal. With my Bible, I would show them the way to eternal life. You would have them killed by some criminal and sent straight to*****with no choice in the matter. Your idea of morality is very strange indeed.
"Female Student gets shot and killed because she refuses to deny God. Inpenetrable faith = her own death." I saw a book about this in our church library. The book held up her decisions as worthy of admiration and emulation. And, while I do admire her courage, I think it was misguided. When you are dealing with irrational people(the killers at Columbine) threatening you, then you are under no obligation to deal with them honestly. They don't deserve it. And, more importantly, you deserve to live.
How many times are you going to write that phrase Chuck? You've written it here several times so we all pretty much get what you're saying. Are you attempting to coin a new phrase for the Democrat party so your idol will repeat it for you at his inauguration next week? We aren't a bunch of talking parrots that will repeat everything you print here! Chucks latest attempt at brainwashing!
"What makes you think that the individuals being shot at was not praying or that the families of those being shot at were not praying or that as a nation we did not pray for those who are suffering from this shooting? What makes you think that the people of Newtown was a godless town with no Christian worshippers?"

Charles, I missed this one in the articles that I read and didn't see these claims. I know at our church we have had prayers for the families of those that were impacted at Newtown.
The only thing I'm going to say at this time about this letter is...Columbine: Female Student gets shot and killed because she refuses to deny God. Inpenetrable faith = her own death.
My point is simply to support the "how do you know they weren't praying" part of Charles' letter.

Keep in mind that a sling was an assault weapon during that period of time.

Josh84-I agree that there probably wasn't any answer that would have saved anyone's life once the killers decided to focus on them.

Well, I don't shoot innocent people with it. Is that moral enough for a stupid question?
