I'm not suggesting this is a 'highly active problem' but there have also been incidents in the past where police officers have been charged with taking confiscated weapons from police evidence rooms and harboring them within their own home. The most recent incident was a few years ago if I recall. So I'd pose the question, is part of the problem that 'corrupt officers' are supplying criminals with at least a portion of these weapons? Again I'd like to believe this is something that is not a highly active problem, but the question is, does it exist at all?

All gun show and private sales of handguns must go through background checks. That is the law in PA. So, does matter where the display and sale are made? It is done legally and there is a traceable record. It is the street sales that are the problem. There was just an article yesterday in the SG about a man who stole four handguns and sold them to drug dealer. Those guns are now available for criminal activities. Those guns are now the problem.

This guy is a mess. Talk about political gamesmanship. He would lose some voters over Sandusky and will try to make it up with the NRA base in Pa..
