Ruining a holiday

January 13, 2013

It is amazing how a person can ruin a person’s holiday with vandalism. On Dec. 22, my husband and I parked in the handicapped area behind a pharmacy at the Lycoming Mal....

Couple questions. 1) You said it was 'windy outside' but you were driving a your Handicapped sticker (that hangs from the rearview correct?) couldn't be put up? Confused by that. 2) I know you meant to reference the individual who scratched your car only, but the end of the sentence didn't make it sound that way. So..careful not to bunch all the williamsport/muncy citizens into one barrel, we're not all that disrespectful. 3) Got insurance?

I understand your frustration, it's 100% justified, but it doesn't have to ruin your holiday unless you let it.

Was the scratch an accident or purposefully done? Could the wind have blown a cart into the car or did someone key it?

Revenge????? Will it really make you feel better?

It appears from the letter that someone "keyed" their car. I can never understand what makes some people want to destroy or damage another's personal property, especially a vehicle. And, it shouldn't matter where it's parked.

Where you the only people outside of Lycoming county to visit the Mall?

You did not see it happen and are you sure it happened that day on that visit.

What an oddly written letter.Us Lycoming County Hooligans are a wild bunch! Can't figure out what all the other info had to do with a car getting scratched? Maybe more of SG "creative editing"?

Or what not placing that placard or the wind speed had to do with the scratch.

I'm still trying to figure out how wind speed played a role in the writer's decision to eschew the hanging placard.

Sorry about your scratch, though.

Madeline Foshay-"Apparently, the person who visited the Lycoming Mall is of a different "breed" than the local people here in Bloomsburg are."

While I feel your pain in having you car damaged, why are you so sure that it couldn't be someone else from Bloomsburg that was visiting the Lycoming Mall on that day also? That is rather presumptuous to think that it could only be someone from our area who could have done it.
