I was raised in a Christian church, that taught that the whole of the bible is true. As I experienced life as an adult, I came to understand that Christianity is but one aspect of the whole of humanity. Have you heard of Horus? Mithra? Sol Invicutus? The rites, customs and beliefs of generations of peoples preceding the foundations of Christianity were brought into, modified, and used to support the newer faith, in the process marginalizing many faiths worldwide. More's the pity.
