Judge: College can demolish houses

"'It seemed like there was another way to get it done and to save those homes, so that the college could put the parking lot on another part of the parcel and keep the homes for family homes.'" ----

There is no other space available on that parcel to create parking spots and those houses have been vacant for a while. The college would have just kept them vacant like before. Now the neighborhood parking issue can be resolved.

I find it amusing or depressing that the city chose to save these 3 houses while allowing numerous NICE houses around the hospital to be destroyed. It seems if you are going to acquire and destroy living areas you could have designed it around all the NON tax generating (but tax draining) areas of the hospital rather than the working class/tax paying neighborhoods!
