Hypocritical

January 16, 2013

Does it strike anyone as even slightly hypocritical that an administration that deliberately and enthusiastically put arms into the hands of some of the most murderous people on Earth now wants to......

Lots o' lynchings...by a "majority"...as well!! Yeah, that always "worked well"...as-long-as you stated (without question) a preference for the "safety" of the herd.

Uhhhhhhhhhh....that's not "dirt". It's their (actual) skin-tone; the way they were born.

You've got issues, with that? Consult your "God". I hear he does quite a lot o' talking to "you people".

"Chayes, You're off a little on Obama's executive orders. His total through 12/7/12 is 144 according to the national archive."

No actually I'm not. According to the National Archives, both earlier today, AND just now when I rechecked, President Obama has signed EO's 13489 - 13632.

Don't know what part of town you come from, but on my side of town 13632-13489=143

In any case, you seem to be confirming that a certain member of our community was, lets say, just a little off, when he said the president signed "over 1000" EO's.

Yeah...I guess I'm just a born-"sinner"...suggesting "conservatives" rely too-heavily on their sacred-"absolutes"...'cause looking at both-sides (of whatever-issues) just might jeopardize their accumulation o' Pearly Gates entry-"points". MrShaman

Blah, blah, blah.....same rambling over and over again, makes no sense at all!

Chayes, You're off a little on Obama's executive orders. His total through 12/7/12 is 144 according to the national archive. The number of orders isn't the problem, it's the scope that is at issue. Some of his (and other presidents) have been outside the Constitutional authority of the President. My big problem with this President is the number of regulations issued by his administration. This framework has been set up over decades and he has used it to full advantage. I believe that it is unconstitutional for the administration to be able to make regulations which carry the power of law, but have not gone through the legislative process.

You people have gotten off the subject of the letter. The Obama administration has illegally sold weapons to Mexican drug cartels, sent weapons to groups with terrorist ties in Libya and Syria, but doesn't want law abiding U.S. citizens to have them. Free people have guns and Obama does not want us to be free people.

People on the right are incredible. George W Bush signed twice as many Executive Orders as President Obama. President Reagan signed almost three times as many. No big deal, just invent a number, confirm its false, then post it here. Maybe nobody will notice.

Extraordinary.

Or maybe you feel you're smarter than me because I can actually find out how many executive orders a President signed in a few seconds, and apparently you cant? Or is it that I'm apparently able to read and comprehend an English language factcheck article.

You REALLY should apologize to the community for your blatant lie, and while you're at it, impugn the person who gave you this information.

"Your right ...Laws in a society aren't all about you."

So then you accept that the fact that an individual gun owner saying he's "responsible" doesn't have ANY bearing on the debate about a law designed to apply to all the people in our country. Zero.

"Because I'm a responsible Citizen and I want one" You see the obvious problem with that statement, right Fredzz? Laws in a society aren't all about you. They're about the lowest common denominator. They are about EVERYONE. Didn't you ever hear the phrase "a few people spoiled the party for everyone"? That applies here.

"but it does state in the article about the numbers being over 900 in range. btw"

But first of all, you couldn't even be satisfied lying like the nutcase that wrote this article you mention, you had to take it to the next level of lying, and beef up the ALREADY FALSE NUMBERS, that you KNEW were false from visiting factcheck.

Are you saying the National Archives is part of a conspiracy against you?

You know how long it took me to find out how many Executive Orders Presidents Bush and Obama had signed? About 5-10 seconds. Is there a reason that you couldn't have done that?

Oh, that's right, you were INTENTIONALLY LYING to the community.

"I have never seen any apologies from you about any of the drivel you espouse."

So you have an example of me reading false information, going to factcheck to ensure it TRULY is fake, then posting it here as if it were true for the community to read?

You know steelerfan, people don't have to apologize for being right (and I don't mean "wing").

"Are you implying the Bill of Rights allows a Gun owner to recklessly Fire a Gun however and where ever any one wants....?"

I'll do far more than that. I won't "imply" anything. I come out and flat out say that the text of the Second Amendment doesn't protect the right of ANYONE to bear arms, UNLESS they are the member of a "well regulated militia". I'd go much broader than that, if the "arms" you're talking about were the muskets that were available when the Amendment was written.

I'll also go on record as saying that arming elementary school children, as Glenn Beck, and David Barton seem to be calling for is a whack-a-doodle idea, AND I said it was only a matter of time till we heard that from conservatives a week or two ago.

OK, on the factcheck article you mentioned, at the top of the page the following text appears:

"Q: Has President Barack Obama signed 900 executive orders, some of which create martial law?

A: No. Obama’s executive orders do not create martial law. And so far he has signed 139 executive orders — not 900."

So the fact that you mentioned this article, debunking your ridiculous claim, certainly implies that you KNEW the information was false, and not only did you just go ahead and post false information for community members, but you actually made it MORE fake by altering the number of the president's Executive Orders UP from the already false number.

This really doesn't look good for you, and I noticed you didn't apologize.
